Shawnee Chamber Announces its 2019 Chamber Star and Ambassador of the Year Award Recipients

At its December Luncheon, the Shawnee Chamber announced its two annual Chamber specific awards, the Chamber Star and the Ambassador of the Year. Each winner was awarded an engraved plaque/award as a token of the Chamber’s gratitude.

2019 Chamber Star

The Chamber Star Award was developed to recognize a member representative that shines with extraordinary measures of service and commitment to the Shawnee Chamber of Commerce.  This award was established in 2007 and isn’t based on the number of committees served on but more on the impact of time given.

John Wills, State Farm Insurance

John Wills joined the chamber is the early 2000’s.  John first became active in the Ambassadors and has signed on to participate in nearly every aspect of the chamber.  He is a 2016 graduate of Shawnee Tomorrow Leadership and Chaired the Committee in 2017 and 2018.  He also joined the Board of Directors in 2016 and will be the Treasurer for the Chamber in 2020.  Most recently, he Chaired our 2020 Total Resource Campaign.
